For their latest release, the Black Orpheus crew has delved into the archives of Deep Sided, a short-lived project from Darren Brandon that released two 12" singles at the turn of the millennium.

The three tracks showcased here were first featured on a 1999 EP of the same name, albeit in a different order. A-side "A-Kraft" is particularly potent, featuring as it does a killer mixture of bumping, Chicago style bottom end and the mind-altering melodiousness of early '90s Italian dream house.

On the flip you'll find "If 2 By Drums", a Chicagoan's take on the organ-sporting New Jersey deep house sound, and the sprawling deep house jazziness of "Transfer to Egypt", which originally opened the 1999 release of the EP.
